About the project
''Step into Non-Formal Essence” is a KA1 youth exchange that involves participants from Portugal, Serbia, Turkey, Germany, Croatia, Greece and Denmark. In an open process of discussing, analysing and debating on the importance of social recognition of youth work, volunteering and young people involvement in non-formal activities. The project will use the results of those consultations as a starting point, and then those results, along with the project's conclusions and recommendations, will be used to create a draught recommendations document that will be distributed to our partners and generally to Non-Governmental Organisations. To accomplish the project's goals, a variety of non-formal education techniques will be used.
Aims and Objectives
Project goals are: to determine the value of non-formal education strategies, To encourage the use of informal education techniques in formal institutions; To encourage the acknowledgment of young people's abilities and knowledge gained through involvement in youth work activities; To increase awareness of youth work, its eects on young people's lives, and its value to society; To increase the social acceptance of adolescent employment in society; Increase public awareness of the many societal levels of youth work acknowledgment; Discuss and exchange stories, illustrations, and potential strategies for pursuing acceptance in other civilizations. National discussions will be held in each participating country prior to the project's actual execution to determine whether and how non-formal education is recognized locally.
