Our project brings together technology and culture to engage young people in innovative and meaningful ways. Many teenagers and young adults feel disconnected from traditional cultural experiences such as museums or monuments. We aim to change this by using digital tools—like coding, robotics, 3D modeling, and virtual reality—to make culture interactive, inclusive, and exciting.
Based in Évora, soon to become the European Capital of Culture 2027, the project will highlight the city’s unique heritage through modern digital approaches. By creating virtual tours, augmented-reality experiences, and interactive robots, we will allow participants to explore Évora’s monuments and traditions in new and engaging formats. This will make cultural learning immersive, relevant, and appealing to younger generations.
At the same time, we will provide participants with valuable digital skills, including basic programming, robotics, and digital content creation. These competencies are essential in today’s world and will not only increase youth employability but also empower them to actively contribute to preserving and promoting cultural heritage.
Inclusion is at the heart of our initiative. We are committed to making the project accessible to all young people, especially those from low-income, rural, or socially isolated backgrounds. By using digital and online formats, we will remove barriers related to distance, cost, and access, ensuring equal opportunities for participation and learning.
Ultimately, our goal is to reconnect young people with their cultural roots while equipping them with practical technological knowledge. We want them to feel proud of their heritage and capable of sharing it in creative, digital ways. By combining tradition with innovation, this project will strengthen community bonds, promote social inclusion, and prepare young people for the future—turning them into active cultural ambassadors ready to shape a more connected and culturally aware Europe.
